I can’t remember how i happened upon it, probably boing boing, but this is a great blawg that is now in my gewgle reeder.  So here is my recommendation for you informaddicts to get a bit of your fix from: Morbid Anatomy A great source of daily heebie-jeebies, and bearded lady tattoos.

The top image is a series of wax moulages, a type of injury mask use to make prostheses or to populate an abandoned hospital with sufficient spooks to make you brown yourself.

But back to the subject of tattoos and abandoning that of creepy/cool old medical practices, this is one for the books, folks.

The Shining has long been my favorite Stanley Kubrick film.  Mainly because Shelley Duvall is one hot minx.  I dare you to watch Popeye and not want to make it with Olive Oyl’s long bones.

Though wordy and esoteric, this article on the physical cosmologies fused into the film really changed the way I view the movie; worth even a glance.  Much of the story’s mythology and history is told through visual symbolism.

I also found a bookstore selling “All Work and No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy” a postmortem published novel by Jack Torrence.  A great read for your next long flight.
